be后面可以接代词、名词、介词、形容词、动名词、现在分词、过去分词、副词.

1、be+名词：

The man is a science teacher.

Bill Clinton was the president of the US.

2、be+形容词或副词：

This soup is very tasty.

Mary’s new dresses are colourful.
